Certificate III in Individual Support - CHC33021

Course Overview

Pursue a career in healthcare, aged care and/or disability support, putting your empathy and people skills to work with the Certificate III in Individual Support. This prepares students to work with elderly and/or people living with disabilities in a community or residential setting.

Once qualified students will have the knowledge and skills to work under supervision as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.

Working on the job graduates will be equipped to provide person-centered support, guided by the client's behavioural support plan, individual support plan, and personal goals and aspirations.

This course has two specialisations - disability, and ageing. General public students can choose to enrol in one stream (only available in Shepparton), or both - in which they'll come away with a dual specialisation.

This course is currently available as part of the Free TAFE scheme but is subject to eligibility requirements and may change in the future.

This information relates to 2025 course delivery. If required, students will be notified of 2024 course information and fees during the onboarding process.
